Hi there,
My name is Sam Tricomo, I'm a queer freelance writer and director from Detroit, MI. I'll graduate from The College for Creative Studies in May of 2025 with a BFA in Film Studies.
Any writer or director can explain to you why they are most well suited for a job due to their devotion to honest stories and a loving desire to capture humanity. However, I would beg to disagree. What sets me apart from any other filmmaker is that I despise humans, and that disgust is romanticized through my cinematic eye.
An example is, in my recent short film "Dog", my lead character Sierra is a high-functioning sociopath, she's fueled by her intense desire to cure her boredom, whether that's through sex or violence. Directing a character like that, I felt unapologetic about whether the audience would resonate with her or not. I knew deep down that viewers would find something disgustingly relatable about her and latch onto that.
My qualifications don't end there. In December of 2024 my short film "Dog" was picked up by the streaming service, TUBI. And now, I'm currently finishing post-production on a pilot episode of a drama mini-series called “Puke Bitch”. To learn more about these projects, check out my ‘portfolio’ page!
